Hotels & resorts

Workforce software built around how hotels actually run.

Inside is workforce software for hotels and resorts. Each department plans in its own way, from room nights for housekeeping to covers for F&B and events for banquets, while one shared casual pool, one attendance record and one payroll connect them. It was built in Singapore with hotel teams, including the Conrad Singapore F&B pilot.

Hotel demand drivers become staffing: room nights drive housekeeping room attendants, covers drive F&B servers, bartenders and cooks by service period, banquet events drive banquet servers and stewards, and opening hours set minimum cover for front office and engineering. Together they form the labour requirement by role, day and shift.

What drives your shifts

  • Room nights and occupancy
  • Covers by service period
  • Banquet and event orders
  • Opening hours and minimum cover

How Inside handles it

  • Every department rosters differently.

Inside lets each department and outlet keep its own shift codes, templates and base manning, and move to demand-based planning when ready. Group HR still sees one organisation.

    Smart Scheduling
  • Occupancy changes faster than the roster.

Demand drivers turn room nights, covers and events into the roles needed by day, and coverage in the Shift Planner shows where you're short before publishing.

    Labour Demand & Coverage
  • Banquets need extra hands at short notice.

Raise a casual request from a banquet template, offer it to your own casual pool first, then share it with agencies. Casuals clock in with a day pass.

    Casual Workforce
  • Overtime and allowances get fixed at cut-off.

Clock-ins are matched to the shift every day, exceptions are approved during the week, and the pay run starts from confirmed time with CPF, SDL and SHG calculated.

Simplified interface

Forecast by service period

Demand Forecast heatmap by service period across the week, with darker cells for busier periods. A demand driver converts covers into servers at one server per 20 covers, and the row below shows servers needed each day.

How it works

Weekly roster-building time in a customer pilot

In the Conrad Singapore F&B pilot, weekly roster building for the measured workflow went from about 3 hours to about 10 minutes.

Proportional bars: about 3 hours before Inside and about 10 minutes with Inside, for weekly roster building in the measured workflow, Conrad Singapore F&B pilot.

Frequently asked questions

Can housekeeping, F&B and banquets use different planning methods?

Yes. Each department can use templates, base manning or demand drivers such as room nights, covers or event orders.

Can staff work across departments or outlets?

Yes. Staff linked to more than one outlet can be scheduled at each, and trained staff can be borrowed when a shift is short.

Does Inside handle banquet casuals?

Yes. Casual requests go to your internal pool and agencies, and casual hours flow to casual pay or agency billing.

Can we keep our existing payroll?

Yes. Export confirmed timesheets, or run Singapore payroll in Inside.
